Threat HUD is an information HUD for Deadlock. This download contains ThreatHudBridge.exe, a self-contained Windows desktop application required for installing the mod and supplying data to the in-game Panorama interface.

The required VPK is embedded inside the application and can be installed, activated, deactivated and removed directly through the Bridge. A separate VPK download is not required.

HOW IT WORKS

The in-game interface is implemented as a standard Panorama/VPK modification. It communicates with Threat HUD Bridge through a local HTTP connection on the user’s computer.

The Bridge uses publicly accessible Deadlock statistics and a delayed Valve broadcast stream. Current-match damage information is normally delayed by approximately 60–90 seconds because it comes from the spectator broadcast.

Threat HUD does not:

• Inject DLLs into Deadlock
• Read or modify game memory
• Patch the Deadlock executable
• Manipulate the Deadlock process
• Bypass anti-cheat systems
• Request or store a Steam password

The application only installs the included VPK, manages the required game configuration and supplies information to the Panorama HUD.

INSTALLATION

1. Close Deadlock.
2. Download and extract the archive.
3. Run ThreatHudBridge.exe.
4. Click “Install mod”.
5. Click “Activate mod”.
6. Start Deadlock and keep Threat HUD Bridge running while playing.
7. WARNING!!!! Be sure that tha heroes names in the game set to English 

The mod can later be disabled or removed using the “Deactivate mod” and “Uninstall mod” buttons.

• Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
• Deadlock installed through Steam
• An internet connection for statistics and broadcast data
• WARNING!!!! Be sure that tha heroes names in the game set to English 

The application is self-contained, so a separate .NET installation is not required.

WINDOWS SMARTSCREEN NOTICE

ThreatHudBridge.exe is currently not digitally signed. Windows SmartScreen may therefore display an “Unknown Publisher” warning when the application is launched for the first time.

This warning is caused by the absence of an Authenticode code-signing certificate. The uploaded file is also subject to GameBanana’s file analysis and antivirus scanning.

AI-ASSISTED DEVELOPMENT DISCLOSURE

ChatGPT was used to assist with writing, debugging and refactoring portions of the C# and Panorama JavaScript code. All resulting code was reviewed and tested by the author, who remains responsible for the distributed application.

The Windows application icon uses an AI-generated base that was manually edited in Adobe Photoshop. It is used only as the desktop executable icon and is not displayed by the in-game Panorama mod
